How to change a module's title and/or visibility in the top menu of your course

You can customize the titles and visibility of your course modules as they appear in the top menu of the course dashboard. This does not affect the actual names of the modules in the course content itself — only how they’re displayed to learners.

To do this:

1. Navigate to your course menu settings: access your course settings, then open the Menu sub-tab.

2. Click Edit next to My course menu
​

3. Under Modules to be displayed, uncheck the All modules checkbox.

4. Set a custom display name for each module if needed.

5. To hide a module from the top menu, simply uncheck its box.

Note: These changes affect only the display in the top navigation menu of the course dashboard. They do not rename the actual modules in your course structure.
