This article explains how to send a message to your course members from your course dashboard.
You can send a message to one specific member, a group of members, or all course members. Messages are delivered both inside the course area and directly by email.
To send a message:
Navigate to your course’s Activity tab.
Open the Messages sub-tab.
Click New message to create a new message.
Compose your message:
Select the recipient(s):
A specific member
A group of members
All course members
Enter the subject of your message.
Write your message content.
(Optional) Add attachments if needed.
Send the message:
Click Send message to deliver it.
Your message will:
Appear in the member’s course area – all message recipients will receive a notification in their course area
Be sent to each recipient’s email inbox
Be stored in the member’s profile, allowing you to review all member interactions within your course (comments, messages, etc.)
