Yes—but it depends on their current position in the sequence. Here’s how LearnyMail handles new steps added to an existing sequence:
For Contacts Still in the Sequence
If a contact has not yet completed the sequence, they will naturally receive the new step according to the configured schedule (just like any other step).
For Contacts Who Already Completed the Sequence
When you add a new step (email or action) to the end of a sequence, LearnyMail will prompt you to decide whether it should also be applied to contacts who already finished the sequence.
You can choose to:
Execute the new step for those contacts (if the step is an email, this new email will be sent based on the scheduled step).
Or leave them as is, with no additional steps being executed for those contacts.
If needed, you can also manually move contacts to the new step. Learn how in this article: How to move contacts within a sequence
Important: How Timing Works
Let’s say you add a new email and configure it to send 2 days after the last step:
Contacts who completed the sequence more than 2 days ago will receive the new email immediately (if you chose to include them).
Contacts who completed the sequence less than 2 days ago will receive it once the 2-day delay has passed.
