In Learnybox, each contact is assigned a status based on their actions or email behavior. Here's a breakdown of the different statuses you may encounter:

1. Registered

This is the default status for all new contacts once they complete the registration process.

2. Pending Confirmation

If a contact subscribes to a double opt-in email sequence, their status will be listed as Pending confirmation until they confirm their registration via the confirmation email sent to their inbox.
Once confirmed, their status will change to Registered.

3. Unsubscribed

A contact will appear as Unsubscribed only if they opt out of all your communications.
They will no longer receive any emails or SMS unless they resubscribe.

Note: If a contact unsubscribes from only one sequence but remains subscribed to others, their general contact status will still show as Registered.

4. Non-existent Email Address

This status appears when a contact enters an invalid or non-existent email address (e.g., due to a typo).
In such cases, the contact must manually contact you so you can update their email address.

5. Spam

This status is triggered if your emails are marked as spam, either:

  • Automatically by the recipient’s email provider (e.g., Gmail, Outlook).

  • Manually by the recipient themselves.

A contact’s email address can also be associated with suspicious activity or known spam traps (even if they did not manually report your email as spam).

Best practice: Let your contacts know during the registration process (e.g., on the squeeze page) to check their spam/junk folder and whitelist your email address. This helps reduce false spam reports and improves deliverability.
