The special offer option allows you to highlight a product during the checkout process, either as a standalone exclusive offer or as a special add-on. When combined with other products in a payment form, this feature can be used to create an order bump—a proven upsell technique that increases the average order value by leveraging the customer's shopping momentum.
What is an Order Bump?
An order bump is typically:
Lower-priced than the main product(s)
Optional (not required to complete the order)
Complementary to the main offer
An order bump only applies when the payment form includes at least one other product (the main product). Its purpose is to encourage the purchase of an additional product that complements the primary one.
If your payment form contains only one product, setting it as a special offer will simply change its visual display on the payment form’s order summary page. It will not function as an order bump in that case.
How to Set a Product as a Special Offer
Navigate to Sales → Offers
In the Forms tab, select the payment form you wish to configure
Open the Products tab
Add a new product or edit an existing one
Scroll down to the Special offer section and enable the option to set your selected product as a special offer
Customize Offer Appearance
After enabling the option, you can configure the offer’s appearance:
Background color
Border style, color, and radius
The product description becomes the offer text displayed to your customers. Use the product description text-entry field to write a clear, persuasive message that highlights the value of your offer.
Example: “Get your exclusive bonus: 1-hour private consultation for just €97 (regular price: €197)”
