A recurring subscription — also called an auto-renewing subscription — allows your customers to be billed automatically on a recurring basis with no predefined end date. This setup can be implemented by configuring a payment method as an installment plan with unlimited payments in your payment form.

Step-by-Step: Configure a Recurring Subscription

1. Review Related Setup Options (Recommended)

Before proceeding, we recommend reading the article:

This will help you better understand the structure of available payment configurations.

2. Create or Edit a Payment Form

  • Navigate to SalesOffers

  • In the Forms tab, select the payment form you wish to configure.

  • Open the Payment Methods tab and click Add payment method.

3. Set Up an Installment Plan with Unlimited Payments

  • In the payment configuration section, set the payment type to Multiple payments (installment plan).

  • For Number of payments, enter x to configure an open-ended subscription (unlimited payments).

  • Set the payment frequency (e.g., every 15 days, every month, etc.)

  • Configure additional options as needed

  • Click Confirm to save and apply your changes

Select a Supported Payment Processor

You can configure a recurring subscription using any of the following supported payment processors:

  • PayPal Checkout

  • LearnyPay

  • Stripe, etc.

Note: A single payment form cannot support both open-ended (installment plan → unlimited payments) and fixed-term (installment plan → limited payments) subscription models. You must choose one or the other per form.
