You can reset or manually change a user's password directly from their user profile. This process applies to all users who require login credentials—such as account administrators, affiliates, or course members.

Access User Profile

  1. From your account homepage, open the Users tab in the side navigation menu

  2. Locate the user whose password you want to change

  3. Click the vertical ellipsis (⋮) to the right of the user’s list entry, then select Open full profile

You’ll be redirected to the user’s profile page.

Option 1: Allow User to Set Their Own Password

If you want the user to choose and set their own password:

  • Click Regenerate password

  • Confirm the action in the pop-up window

This will send a password reset email to the user, allowing them to securely set a new password.

Option 2: Manually Set a New Password

If you prefer to set a new password yourself:

  • Click on the Edit user icon (to the right of General information)

  • Toggle the Change password option on to reveal the password fields

  • Enter the new password in the corresponding fields

  • Note: Do not click the Reset password link (this will send a password reset email instead)

  • Scroll down and click Confirm to save the new password

You can then share the new password you generated with the user so they can log in using their updated credentials.

Password requirements

Make sure the new password includes:

  • At least 8 characters

  • At least 1 number

  • At least 1 uppercase letter

  • At least 1 special character (such as @, !, ?, #, $)

If the password does not meet the required criteria, it will not be accepted, and the user will be unable to log in.
