This article explains how to set up a custom domain in Learnybox by adding your subdomain and configuring the required CNAME record.
You'll also learn how domain validation works and what to check to ensure your domain is configured correctly.
You can use your own custom domain name to replace your default Learnybox address (youraccountid.learnybox.com) to display your website, courses, and sales funnels under your own domain.
Before you begin: You must own the domain you want to connect. If you don't have one yet, you can purchase one from a domain provider such as GoDaddy, Namecheap, OVH, IONOS, etc.
Step 1 - Add your custom domain in Learnybox
Go to Settings
Click Custom Domains
Click Add domain
Enter the subdomain you want to use (e.g.,
www.mydomain.com)Click Confirm
⚠️ Root domains (e.g., mydomain.com) are not supported. You must use a subdomain, such as www.mydomain.com
Step 2 - Configure DNS settings
Once added, your domain will appear with a pending validation status until the DNS configuration is completed and validated.
To complete the setup:
Log in to your DNS hosting provider (e.g., GoDaddy, Namecheap).
Access your domain's DNS settings.
Create the required CNAME record.

What does the CNAME record do?
The CNAME record connects your custom subdomain to Learnybox servers. This allows Learnybox to serve your content (website, courses, and sales funnels) under your custom domain.
For example, if you want to use www.mydomain.com, your DNS configuration should look like this:

Important: Check for conflicting DNS records
Before creating your CNAME record, make sure there are no conflicting DNS records already configured for the same subdomain.
Check for existing records such as:
other CNAME records
A records
TXT records
MX records
A CNAME record cannot coexist with other DNS records using the same hostname. If you're adding a CNAME, it must be the only record for that subdomain. Remove any conflicting records before adding your Learnybox CNAME record.
Step 3 - Wait for domain validation
Once you've created the CNAME record, Learnybox will automatically validate your domain after the DNS changes have propagated.
Note: DNS propagation can take up to 24 to 48 hours. During this time, your domain may continue to display the pending validation status in Learnybox.
Once the DNS changes have propagated and Learnybox has validated your configuration, your custom domain will be connected to your account.
