How to validate your custom domain

This article explains why your custom domain may still be awaiting validation in Learnybox.

You'll learn which DNS settings to check and what to do if your domain remains unverified.

Once you've added your custom domain to Learnybox and created the required CNAME record, domain validation happens automatically. Validation can take anywhere from a few minutes to 24 hours.

If your domain is still not validated after 48 hours, follow the steps below to identify and resolve common DNS configuration issues.

Learnybox does not support root domains, such as mydomain.com

You must use a subdomain instead, such as:

If you've entered a root domain in Learnybox, replace it with the subdomain you want to use.

For your domain to be validated, you must create a CNAME record in your domain's DNS settings that points to:

ssl.learnybox.com

Log in to your DNS hosting provider and make sure the following record is configured correctly:

For example, if you want to connect www.mydomain.com, the host should be www and the target should be ssl.learnybox.com

⚠️ Important: If the CNAME record is missing or doesn't point to the correct target, your domain validation may remain blocked.

For example, if you've configured members.mydomain.com, check that no other DNS records are assigned to the members host in your DNS zone.

⚠️ Important: A CNAME record cannot coexist with other DNS records using the same hostname. Any conflicting records must be removed before validation can proceed.

After correcting any DNS configuration errors, allow time for your domain to be validated.
