This article explains how to use CRM filters to find users based on specific criteria. You can apply a single filter or combine several filters to refine your results.
It also explains how AND and OR conditions work, as well as inverse filters and dedicated filters for finding users with no associated item.
Apply a filter
To filter your users, first click Filters in the upper-right area of the CRM page.
Once the filter panel is open, you can:
Browse the available filters by scrolling through the list.
Use the search field to quickly find a specific filter. The search field appears after you open the filter dropdown.
After selecting a filter, define the value or condition you want users to match.
Depending on the selected filter, you may be able to:
select a Yes or No value
enter a text
select a status
select a user type
select a date
select a date range
enter an amount
Once you've set the criteria, apply the filters to display only the users who match them.
Understand the filter logic
CRM filters can be combined to perform more specific searches.
Combining multiple filters
When you apply several different filters, Learnybox always combines them using AND logic. Users must therefore meet every applied condition to appear in the results.
Example:
You apply the following filters:
The user has a tag → One of these tags (OR) → Customer 1
The user has purchased a product → One of these products (OR) → Course 1
Result: Only users who have the Customer 1 tag and have purchased Course 1 are displayed.
Selecting multiple values within a filter
Some filters allow you to select multiple values and define how those values should be combined within the filter:
AND: The user must match all selected values.
OR: The user must match at least one selected value.
AND/OR logic applies to the values selected within an individual filter. When several separate filters are applied, the filters themselves are always combined using AND logic.
Examples:
You apply the following filters:
The user has a tag → One of these tags (OR) → Customer 1, Customer 2 (2 items selected)
Result: Only users who have at least one of the selected tags (Customer 1 or Customer 2) are displayed.
You apply the following filters:
The user has a tag → All these tags (AND) → Customer 1, Customer 2 (2 items selected)
Result: Only users who have both of the selected tags (Customer 1 and Customer 2) are displayed.
You apply the following filters:
The user has a tag → One of these tags (OR) → Customer 1, Customer 2 (2 items selected)
The user has purchased a product → One of these products (OR) → Course 1, Course 2 (2 items selected)
Result: Only users who have at least one of the selected tags (Customer 1 or Customer 2) AND have purchased at least one of the selected products (Course 1 or Course 2) are displayed.
Use inverse filters
Some filters are also available in an inverse form, allowing you to find users who do not meet a particular condition.
Examples:
The user is not in a sequence
The user does not have a tag
The user is not a member of a course/community
Inverse filters are useful when you want to exclude users who meet a particular condition or target users who have not yet completed a specific action.
Find users with no associated item
For certain criteria, Learnybox provides a dedicated filter for finding users who are not associated with any item.
Examples:
The user has no tags: Displays only users who do not have any tags.
The user is not in any sequence: Displays only users who do not belong to any email sequence.
These filters are useful when you want to identify users who are not associated with any item for a particular criterion.
At this stage, you know how to apply CRM filters, combine separate filters and multiple values correctly, use inverse filters, and find users who are not associated with any item for a specific criterion.
