LearnyPay Bank Transfer allows you to collect payments from your customers via bank transfer using virtual IBAN technology. In practice, a unique French IBAN is automatically generated for each customer, allowing them to pay by bank transfer with no amount limit, making it ideal for high-value transactions.
This technology also offers significantly faster processing times than traditional bank transfers, including when funds are transferred between French and foreign banks.
How does it work?
When a customer places an order through one of your payment forms configured with LearnyPay Bank Transfer:
A unique IBAN is generated
A unique French IBAN is generated for each customer and for each payment form. This IBAN is automatically created when the payment form is validated.
It is not a fixed IBAN linked to a bank account—it changes depending on the customer and the order. This allows the system to accurately match each payment to the correct offer and customer.
Using a payment form is mandatory
It is not possible to send funds directly to a Learnybox IBAN without going through a payment form.
The form is essential because it triggers the creation of the virtual IBAN and ensures the payment is correctly linked to the corresponding offer. Without a form, incoming funds cannot be properly assigned.
The customer makes the transfer
The customer initiates a bank transfer from their bank to the generated IBAN. The funds are then automatically sent to your LearnyPay wallet.
Automations are triggered instantly
As soon as the transfer is received, the transaction is marked as “Validated”, and all automations are triggered (invoice generation, etc.).
The funds available in your LearnyPay wallet can then be transferred to your bank account.
What you need to know about the virtual IBAN
IBAN reuse for the same form
If your customer needs to make another payment for the same form (for example, as part of a split payment), they can reuse the same IBAN without going through the form again.
A different IBAN per customer
Each customer is assigned a different IBAN. It is not possible to reuse one customer’s IBAN for another customer, as this would prevent the system from correctly matching the payment.
No bank account is created
This technology does not create a bank account in your name. The virtual IBAN is hosted by Mangopay and acts as an intermediary to route funds to your wallet.
Bank transfer, not direct debit
This is a standard bank transfer, not a direct debit. Once executed, the transfer cannot be reversed by the customer.
Just like other payment methods available in Learnybox, LearnyPay Bank Transfer ensures automatic tracking of payments, invoice generation, and all automations linked to your offers.
