This article explains how to configure LearnyPay Bank Transfer as a payment method for an offer, what your customers see during checkout, and how to track your transactions.

To understand how LearnyPay Bank Transfer works and the virtual IBAN technology, first read our article: What is LearnyPay Bank Transfer? How does it work?

Step-by-step configuration

⚠️ Prerequisite: Your LearnyPay wallet must be activated. Otherwise, the Bank Transfer option will not appear in your offer settings.

Step 1 - Create or edit an offer

  1. Go to Sales → Offers

  2. Create a new offer or edit an existing one.

Configure your offer as usual, including its name, price, products, and other settings.

Step 2 - Enable LearnyPay Bank Transfer as a payment method

When configuring a new LearnyPay payment method for your offer, you will now have two options in the payment method configuration section (specifically under Payment method to display):

  • Credit Card — the standard payment option for card payments

  • Bank Transfer — the option to enable bank transfer payments using a virtual IBAN

Select Bank Transfer so your customers can pay via bank transfer.

Step 3 - Review the payment settings

When reviewing your payment settings, make sure that:

  • the selected LearnyPay wallet is correct.

  • the displayed payment method is Bank Transfer.

⚠️ Warning: If you accidentally switch the payment method to card payments, the form will use the card payment wallet instead of the bank transfer option.

Step 4 - Publish offer

Save your offer. You can embed the payment form in a sales funnel or website page, or even share it directly via its link.

Step 5 - Customize the email sent after a LearnyPay Bank Transfer order

  1. Go to Sales → Orders & invoices

  2. Open the Settings tab.

  3. Open the Emailing sub-tab.

  4. Enable the following option:
Email the customer when an order is placed via bank transfer

  5. Customize the email as needed.

  6. Click Confirm (bottom right) to save and apply your changes.

Customer experience

When your customer fills out the payment form and clicks the button to proceed with payment, they are redirected to a summary page, which includes:

  • A summary of their order, including the products and total amount.

  • The bank transfer details to use:

    • Beneficiary name

    • Payment reference, which is recommended to help speed up processing

    • Virtual IBAN to which the transfer must be made

The customer can then make the bank transfer immediately from their banking app.

If they do not complete the transfer right away, they will also receive a summary email containing all the information required to make the transfer later.

Tracking transactions

From your LearnyPay back office, you can monitor your bank transfer transactions.

  • Pending transfers appear with a pending payment status.

  • Once the transfer is received, the transaction status automatically changes to Validated, and the amount is credited to your LearnyPay wallet.

Payment in multiple installments

When you offer LearnyPay Bank Transfer as an installment payment method, the customer must manually make each bank transfer according to the scheduled installments.

Keep in mind that:

  • No automatic reminder email is sent to the customer before their next installment is due.

  • If the customer does not make one of the scheduled transfers, no automatic alert is sent to you.

You can still monitor payments that have already been received and upcoming installments directly from the relevant customer's subscription.

To access your customer subscriptions, go to:

Sales → Orders & invoices → Subscriptions tab
