How to display a slideshow during a live webinar

Learn how to share a PowerPoint or Keynote slideshow during a live webinar using screen sharing.


This article explains how to display a slideshow during a live webinar.

Use it when you want to present a PowerPoint or Keynote presentation by sharing either a second screen or a slideshow window with your webinar viewers.


If you'd like to present a PowerPoint or Keynote slideshow during your live webinar, you have two display options:

Option 1: Use a Second Screen (Recommended)

  1. Open your PowerPoint or Keynote application on a second screen.

  2. Start screen sharing from your webinar dashboard.

  3. Select only the second screen to be shared with your viewers. This way, the slideshow will be visible while you manage the presentation on your main screen.


Option 2: Use a Browser or Windowed Mode

  1. In PowerPoint, open the Slide Show tab and click on Set Up Slide Show

  2. Under Show type, select Browsed by an individual (window), then click OK

  3. Start the slideshow — it will now open in a separate, windowed mode.

  4. During the webinar:

    • Click the Screen Sharing icon.

    • Select the PowerPoint Slideshow window.
      Note: Make sure the slideshow window is open and not minimized, otherwise it may not appear in the list of shareable windows.

    • Use the left or right arrow keys on your keyboard to move through the slides.


Important: test your setup before going live

We recommend testing your setup before the live webinar. This helps you make sure screen sharing works as expected and gives you time to familiarize yourself with all available features, including screen sharing options.
