This article explains how to add explanations to individual answers in your quizzes or evaluations.
Use it when you want to clarify why an answer is incorrect, reinforce a correct answer, or provide participants with additional context after they validate their response.
You can display answer explanations to your quiz or evaluation participants by configuring them directly in the Questions tab.
Step 1 - Access the quiz or evaluation
Go to Academy → Quizzes or Evaluations
Select the questionnaire you wish to configure.
Step 2 - Edit the question
Open the Questions tab.
Locate the question whose answers you want to customize. Click the Edit icon to the right of the question.
Step 3 - Add answer explanations
Scroll down to the list of answers. Click Add explanation next to each answer for which you want to provide additional information.
Add the explanation you want participants to see.
When you're finished adding your answer explanation(s), click Save to save and apply your changes.
Answer explanations are displayed after participants validate their answer to the question.
You can use an explanation to clarify why an incorrect answer is wrong, or to reinforce key information and provide additional context after a correct answer.
⚠️ Answer explanations are not displayed with Type 4
Answer explanations are not displayed when the questionnaire is configured as Type 4.
In this mode, participants can select only one answer per question and are automatically redirected to the next question after validating their response. As a result, the answer explanation is not displayed.
