This article explains why SCORM videos may not display in full-screen mode in the Learnybox mobile app and which settings you should check.
SCORM files are external components integrated into Learnybox as they are provided. Full-screen behavior therefore depends on the SCORM file itself and the authoring tool used to create it.
Why can’t Learnybox force full-screen mode?
A SCORM file is content that has already been created before being integrated into Learnybox.
Learnybox displays it in the environment provided for viewing it but does not modify how it works internally. This includes:
the full-screen button
its behavior on mobile devices
how it is displayed within an app
the SCORM file’s own settings
Therefore, if the full-screen button does not appear or does not work in the mobile app, this cannot be configured directly in Learnybox.
What should you check in the SCORM authoring tool?
The settings you need to check are located in the tool used to create the SCORM file.
Make sure that a full-screen button has been included and that it works within a mobile app. Some authoring tools may handle how content is displayed differently depending on the device or platform being used.
Most importantly, test the SCORM file under the same conditions as your learners — in other words, from the mobile app.
What should you do if full-screen mode still does not work?
Contact the service you used to create the SCORM file or consult the documentation for the authoring tool used to generate it.
The aim is to confirm that the SCORM file supports full-screen mode within a mobile app.
If full-screen mode is supported at this level but the content still does not display correctly in the mobile app, you can then contact Learnybox support.
