Multi-course products: Frequently Asked Questions

Learn how multi-course products work in your offers and what changes for your customers.

This article explains how a single product can provide access to multiple courses and communities with a single purchase.

It answers the main questions about existing offers, previous customers, active subscriptions, refunds, payment options, and other sales settings.

Will my existing products and offers be changed automatically?

No. Products and offers created before this feature was introduced will continue to work as before.

The option to select multiple courses or communities is an additional feature available when linking content to a product. A product can still provide access to only one course or one community.

Can I update an existing product to provide access to multiple courses?

Yes. You can update the content linked to an existing product from the offer's configuration page.

Open the relevant product, then select the courses and communities to which it should provide access.

Important: These changes apply only to future purchases. Customers who have already purchased the product will not automatically receive access to any newly added courses or communities.

Do previous customers receive newly added access?

No. When you add a course or community to a product that has already been sold, customers who purchased the product before the update do not automatically receive the new access.

To receive all the content currently linked to the product, the customer must place a new order.

What happens with active subscriptions?

Adding courses or communities to a product does not automatically grant the new access to customers with an existing subscription.

Recurring subscription payments do not provide access to content added after the customer’s initial subscription.

What happens when an order is refunded?

When an order is refunded, all access granted through the relevant product is removed. This applies to every course and community included in the product, rather than to a single item only.

Are multi-course products compatible with installment payments?

Yes. A multi-course product is configured in the same way as any other product in an offer.

You can use the payment methods and installment options available for the offer, including payment in several installments.

Can I use promotional codes and promotional offers?

Yes. Promotional codes and promotional offers apply normally to multi-course products.

The number of courses or communities linked to the product does not affect how these promotions work.

How is VAT handled?

VAT is configured in the same way as for any other product in an offer.

Linking multiple courses or communities to the same product does not change the offer’s VAT settings.

How many courses or communities can I link to one product?

Learnybox has not specified a limit at this time.

You can link one, two, three, or more courses and communities to the same product.

Do multi-course products work with webinar offers?

Yes. The same content-linking feature is available for webinar offers.

A product sold through a webinar offer can provide access to multiple courses and communities after purchase.

What does the customer see during the purchase?

The customer sees the product as a single line item on the payment form, with one price.

Once the order is confirmed, the customer automatically receives access to all the courses and communities linked to that product.

What are the known limitations?

Content added to an existing product is not granted retroactively to customers who previously purchased it.

Customers with an active subscription also do not receive newly added content through subsequent recurring payments.
