How to reset or change a user's password

Send a password reset email or manually set a new password from a user's Learnybox profile.

This article explains how to reset or change a user's password directly from their Learnybox profile. You'll learn how to let users create their own password or manually set a new one for them.

You can manage passwords for users who need login credentials, including account administrators, affiliates, and course members.

Step 1 - Access the user's profile

  1. Go to the CRM using the side navigation menu.

  2. Find the user whose password you want to change. Click the vertical ellipsis (⋮) to the right of their list entry, then select Open full profile

You'll be redirected to the user's profile page.

Step 2 - Choose how to reset the password

You have two options, depending on whether you want the user to choose their own password or set one manually.

Option 1 - Send a password reset email

If you want the user to create their own password:

  1. In the Info tab, click Edit (to the right of General information).
    ​

  2. Toggle the Change password option on to display the password fields.

  3. Click Reset password (below the password fields).
    ​

  4. Confirm the action in the pop-up window.
    ​


The user will receive a password reset email allowing them to set a new password.

Option 2 - Manually set a new password

If you prefer to create a new password for the user yourself:

  1. In the Info tab, click Edit (to the right of General information).
    ​

  2. Toggle the Change password option on to display the password fields.

  3. Enter the new password in the corresponding fields.
    ⚠️ Important: Do not click the Reset password option when setting a password manually, as this will send a password reset email instead.
    ​

  4. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click Confirm to save your changes.

Once the new password is saved, you can share it with the user so they can log in with their updated credentials.

What are the password requirements?

When manually setting a new password, make sure it meets all the following requirements:

  • at least 8 characters

  • at least 1 number

  • at least 1 uppercase letter

  • at least 1 special character, such as @, !, ?, #, or $

If the password does not meet these requirements, it will not be accepted.
