Curious about how email sequences function in LearnyMail? This article explains how Steps, Broadcasts, and Contacts are connected within a sequence and how contacts move through it.

1. Contact Registration

  • When someone becomes registered in your email sequence, they’re immediately added as a contact, which appears under the Contacts tab of the sequence.

  • They are automatically placed in the first step of the sequence. You can track how many contacts are in each step from the Steps tab.

2. Sequence Progression

  • Based on your configuration for Step 1 (e.g., “Send at time of registration” to trigger immediately), the contact is added to that step’s Broadcasts.

  • After the email is sent, they’re automatically moved to Step 2 (under Contacts).

3. Moving Through Steps

  • Contacts continue moving through the sequence, transitioning from the Contacts to the Broadcasts of each step in order.

  • This continues until they complete the final step of the sequence.

Note: Step statistics (contact and broadcast counts) update asynchronously. For sequences with many contacts or larger broadcasts, updates may take a few minutes to reflect accurately.
