How to resolve a 404 error on your website's homepage

Learn how to set a published homepage so visitors no longer see a 404 error on your website’s root URL.

This article explains how to resolve a 404 error on your Learnybox website homepage.

Use it when visitors land on a 404 error page when accessing your website’s root URL.

If visitors are redirected to a 404 error page when accessing your website's homepage, this is usually due to one of the following reasons:

  • No page has been set as the website's homepage.

  • The page set as the website's homepage is not published (status: Deactivated).

Follow these steps to resolve the error:

Step 1: Access Website Page Settings

  • Navigate to Website & BlogWebsite

  • Open the Settings tab

  • Open the Pages sub-tab

Step 2: Set a Homepage

  • Review the homepage field and select the page you want to use as your website homepage from the dropdown.
⚠️ Make sure the selected page is published.

Step 3: Save Your Changes

  • Click Confirm (bottom right) to save and apply your changes.

What happens after saving?

Once saved, the selected homepage replaces the 404 error page. Visitors who access your website’s root URL will be able to access the homepage you selected.
