How to configure the cookie consent banner

Learn how to configure your cookie consent banner and customize the consent texts shown to visitors.

This article explains how to configure cookie consent and marketing consent settings in Learnybox.

Use it when you want to customize the consent messages displayed to visitors and control where the cookie consent banner appears on your website and sales funnel pages.

In compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which came into effect on May 25, 2018, you are required to give visitors the choice to accept or reject cookies on your website.

Where to configure the cookie banner

You can manage this feature directly from your account settings:

  1. Go to Settings from the side navigation menu.

  2. Click Privacy & Cookies

Marketing Consent Texts

In the Marketing Consent section, you can customize the default consent messages displayed in your forms.

  • Direct marketing

Customize the message shown to users when they are asked to consent to receive commercial offers directly from you.

  • Partner marketing

Customize the message shown when users are asked to consent to receive offers from your partners in exchange for a gift (e.g., access to a course).

Cookie Banner Settings

In the Cookie banner section, you can choose where and how the cookie consent banner is displayed.

Available options include:

  • Display banner on all website pages to display the cookie banner across your website.

  • Display banner on all funnel pages to display the cookie banner across your sales funnels.

  • Open pop-up automatically to automatically display the cookie consent pop-up when a visitor opens a page.

When does the cookie banner appear?

The cookie banner and pop-up are displayed only when Learnybox detects cookies on the page that require visitor consent under GDPR.

If no such cookies are detected in the page source code, the banner does not appear, even when the display options are enabled.
