This article explains how to record an affiliate commission payment in Learnybox.
Use it when an affiliate has requested payment for their available commission balance and you want to update their payment record after transferring the funds outside Learnybox.
Before you start
Learnybox tracks affiliate commissions and available balances, but it does not transfer commission payments to affiliates on your behalf. You are responsible for paying the affiliate directly, for example by bank transfer, based on your own payment process.
After the payment is completed, you can record it in Learnybox so the affiliate’s available balance stays up to date. Follow the steps below to manage affiliate payments efficiently.
1. Affiliates check their commission balance
Affiliates can log in to their affiliate area and view their available balance from their Commissions tab.
They should send you an invoice for the amount they want to receive, based on their earned commissions.
2. Verify the requested amount
Before making the payment, compare the amount requested by the affiliate with their available balance in Learnybox.
Go to Sales → Affiliation
Open the Affiliates tab
Click the name of the affiliate to access their user profile and review their commission balance.
The displayed balance already accounts for invalid commissions and any guarantee periods configured in your affiliate campaign settings.
3. Pay the affiliate outside Learnybox
Transfer the approved amount directly to the affiliate using your chosen payment method, such as a bank transfer.
⚠️ Learnybox does not process commission payments on your behalf. You are solely responsible for transferring the funds.
4. Record the commission payment in Learnybox
After the payment has been completed, return to the affiliate’s user profile.
Click Pay affiliate
Enter the amount paid, then click Confirm to create the payment record.
What happens after recording the payment?
Learnybox updates the affiliate’s available balance automatically.
The affiliate balance represents the amount still owed to the affiliate. It is calculated as the difference between the commission total and the amount already recorded as paid.
For example, if an affiliate has €250 in commissions (total amount) and you record a payment of €200, Learnybox updates the affiliate’s remaining balance to €50.
