This article explains how to read your monthly LearnyPay invoice and understand the fees applied to your transactions during the billing period.
LearnyPay fees are deducted at the time of each payment, so the invoice does not require any additional payment. It simply provides a detailed summary of the fees already charged during the billing period.
What does your monthly invoice include?
Your invoice first displays the key information needed to identify the invoice and the billing period it covers.
It includes:
the invoice number
the invoice date
your billing information
the billing period
transaction details
the total fees
the VAT rate and amount
the total including VAT
the amount deducted from your balance
the outstanding amount
How to read the transaction details
The main table on the invoice lists the transactions included in the billing period.
Each row allows you to associate the fees charged with a specific transaction. You can find:
the transaction date
the customer's name and email address
the relevant product
the transaction amount
the associated fees
For example, several transactions may take place on the same day. Each transaction will appear on its own row, together with the corresponding transaction amount and fees.
Why are the fees now displayed line by line?
The way fees are displayed on the invoice has changed to reflect how LearnyPay fees are now deducted.
Before September 2026, fees were deducted when funds were transferred to your bank account. As a result, they appeared grouped together on the invoice.
Since September 2026, fees are deducted when each transaction is processed. The invoice therefore provides a detailed breakdown of the fees associated with each individual payment.
This allows you to easily match each transaction with the corresponding fee amount.
The fees applied to each transaction may vary depending on factors such as the payment method used, including card payment, bank transfer, or SEPA Direct Debit.
The transaction-level breakdown also makes it easier to understand how the total fees for the billing period are calculated.
Have the fees shown on the invoice already been deducted?
Yes. The LearnyPay fees shown on your invoice have already been deducted when each transaction was processed.
Your monthly invoice therefore serves as an accounting summary. No additional payment is required when you receive it.
Understanding the amounts at the bottom of the invoice

How can this invoice help with your accounting?
The invoice brings together the information you need to identify the billing period, review the relevant transactions, and reconcile the total amount of fees charged during the billing period.
Its detailed breakdown makes it easier to reconcile:
