How to display unavailable course pages to your members

Learn how to show all course modules and pages in the course summary page, even if some are not yet accessible to course members.

Control Visibility of Unavailable Course Modules and Pages

Some course delivery methods release content progressively — either based on the learner’s progress or according to a fixed schedule. In these cases, modules and pages may not be immediately accessible to members.

This article explains how to display all course modules and pages on the course summary page, even when some of them are not yet accessible to your members.

Unavailable modules and pages may appear when your course uses a progressive delivery method.

For example:

  • The Restricted Open Access Method requires learners to complete page 1 before accessing page 2, and so on.

  • The Scheduled Modules Method allows you to release content on specific dates or relative to each member's registration date.

Why display unavailable content?

Displaying unavailable content helps your members understand the full course structure and see what is coming next.

To make unavailable pages and modules visible:

  1. Navigate to your course settings.

  2. Open the Design & Visibility tab.

  3. Expand the Page visibility section.

  4. Enable the following option:
    COURSE
    Show unavailable modules and pages

  5. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Confirm to save and apply your changes.

Once enabled, your members will see all course modules and pages listed in the course summary page, even if some are not yet accessible. This means they can see what is coming next in the course, without accessing content before it becomes available.
