How to Create Free and Paid Access Groups in Your Course

Learnybox allows you to offer both free and paid access to different parts of the same course by using course groups. Here's how to set this up:

Step 1: Create Free and Paid Course Groups

  1. Navigate to your course Settings, then open the Groups sub-tab.

  2. Create a first group (e.g., Free access) and define the content this group should have access to by selecting specific modules and pages.

  3. Create a second group (e.g., Paid access) and grant full course access by checking all modules and pages.

Step 2: Create a Free Registration Link

  1. In your course Settings, open the Free registration sub-tab.

  2. Create a free registration link and select the Free access group under the Group option.

  3. Share this link with your friends and leads (via email, direct link, or funnel page).

  4. If using a funnel page, add a Form element, select the Course registration form, and link it to the free registration you created.

Anyone registering through this link will be automatically added to the Free access group and only see the content you've made available to that group.

Step 3: Set up the Paid Access Path

  1. Create a payment form or payment button.

  2. Set your course as a product.

  3. When configuring the product, link it to the Paid access group.

  4. On your course or funnel pages, add a payment form or button that allows visitors to purchase the product.

Upon purchase, users will be automatically added to the Paid access group and gain full access to the course.
