This article explains how to make your courses accessible to members through the Learnybox mobile app.
The Learnybox mobile app allows your members to access selected course content from their phone or tablet. In this article, you will learn how to activate the mobile app, choose which courses are available, add a QR code to the registration email, and check which content is visible from the mobile app.
Step 1: Activate Mobile App
From your account’s homepage, navigate to the Mobile App page (directly accessible through the left menu.
Click on Activate app.
Once the app is activated, additional settings will appear on the Mobile App page.
Step 2: Choose the courses available on mobile
In the mobile app settings, select the courses you want to make accessible from the app. Members will only find the courses you select in this section.
You can also customize the thumbnail displayed for each course in the app.
Step 3: Add the QR code to the registration email
To make it easier for members to access the app, you can add a QR code to the registration email sent when they register for a course.
Open the relevant course, then go to Settings → Emails.
In the registration email, add the [[QR_CODE]] variable where you want the QR code to appear.
You can also add download buttons for the mobile app using the following variables:
[[PLAY_STORE_BADGE]]
[[APP_STORE_BADGE]]
Once the app is downloaded, members can scan the QR code to access the course more quickly.
Step 4: Check the content visible on mobile
From the page editor, elements that are visible on mobile are marked with a dedicated mobile icon.
Use this indicator to check which content your members will be able to view from the mobile app.
SCORM content can also be viewed from the mobile app.
Important note for Vimeo users: If your course videos are hosted on Vimeo, make sure to disable the “Specific Domains” privacy setting. Otherwise, the videos may not be accessible on the mobile app.
Member experience
Once the app is downloaded, members can log in using the same credentials they normally use for their course access. They can then view the courses you made available on mobile and access the selected content from their phone or tablet.
How to check that everything works
After activating the app, test the full process using a course that is available on mobile. First, check that the course is selected in the mobile app settings. Then send yourself a course registration email containing the [[QR_CODE]] variable and test the course access from your phone.
Finally, open the course in the app to make sure the expected content is visible.
